Why no remuneration? Probably doesn’t need to be a fortune, but shouldn’t contributions for commercial projects always be compensated in some way (exposure doesn’t count)? That’s my humble opinion.
Not sure who your comment is directed at; when you say ‘you’re not a professional photographer…’ I WAS a professional photographer in the pre-digital era but no longer work as one.
I completely agree with your other statements & was attempting to make it clear that expecting payment (especially in the region of £100s) was absurd! You’ve covered those points in a much more succinct fashion! Cheers.
I have worked as a photographer and been paid. There's a big difference between paying for a photo session/shoot and purchasing one or two prints of existing work. Also a difference between 'professional' work and 'snap shots'... I'm not suggesting that contributions shouldn't be paid for, just that 'a few hundred quid' (British Pounds) is quite a lot for one picture; also there may be plenty of people who are happy to contribute without feeling they should be paid, especially now that a copy of the album is on offer as compensation.
Cool vibe. I love the photo you picked, especially the dog. If the people weren't in it one might have thought you were asking for photos of the 1860's-1880's.
Additionally, anyone whose photos get used will receive a free copy of the deluxe edition of the album.
Thanks for this opportunity, Steven! This is great fun!!!
nice touch making up for the initial post ;-) see you soon on the road!

You are absolutely right. A few hundred quid should be possible. We’re not talking about a struggling newcomer musician here.
Seriously? ...a 'few hundred quid' is more than some professional photographers get paid for a single print!
Have ever paid a photographer for his work?
1. You're NOT a professional photographer nor is Steven asking for professionla photographs
2. The contributors here are NOT being selected for the photographic skills or equipment nor time or energy used to create photographs
3. You're free to NOT contribute bc you think you deserve money for providing a pic from 60 years ago

You could have also pointed out ‘renumeration’ being misspelled but didn’t - good for you 😀
Hmmm that’s fine from a great musician.
Can’t wait for the shows in London
