In search of otherness...
I’m looking for photos of life in a rural village community between the 60’s-80’s...
For the special edition artwork for my next album (release date tbc), I’m looking for photos of life in a rural village community between the 60’s-80’s, most likely exterior shots, preferably in Britain, but doesn’t have to be. These ideally should be amateur photos taken on analogue camera (Polaroids ideal) and could be of anything. They don’t need to have people in them, they can be funny, serious, or just strange in some way. What I’m looking for here is a sense of otherness, a feeling of nostalgia, of something lost. The technical quality of them doesn’t matter, in fact the more lo-fi, blurry or rusted out the better! I’ve included an example here that could help give you an idea of the vibe I’m after.
If you submit your photos and I end up using one or more of them, I need to know that you’re happy for them to be used without any remuneration, but I am of course happy to credit you in the artwork. Additionally, anyone whose photos get used will receive a free copy of the deluxe edition of the album.
You can submit your photos by clicking the button below and filling in the form on the page. Deadline on submissions is Friday 3rd April 2026.
Many thanks!

Why no remuneration? Probably doesn’t need to be a fortune, but shouldn’t contributions for commercial projects always be compensated in some way (exposure doesn’t count)? That’s my humble opinion.
