4½ (2016) was a interim mini album that mainly finished off ideas I had leftover from the Hand. Cannot. Erase. sessions. I also reworked Don’t Hate Me, previously recorded by Porcupine Tree in 1999, using a live recording as the basis. I had always intended this song as a dialogue between 2 characters, so it was an opportunity to rerecord it as a duet with Ninet Tayeb.
